Cape Town's local community launches first crypto currency 'Weedcoin' for capitalizing on the Weed Stock Exchange (WSE)

Cape Town's local community came together to bring the first ever weed trading currency “Weedcoin” will be available for trading with Rand purchases from Boxing day - 26 December 2017 on the Weed Stock Exchange (WSE) established in early November to cater to target specific local markets in South Africa. 

Speaking to Faking News South Africa about the inception of this idea, the head of Weedcoin Mr. Johan Van Der Merwe said, “It is very difficult for an average weed user to accept normal bitcoin. If the annual estimate is compiled, the common weed consumer accepts 190 bitcoins instead of change that could have bought him more weed”

“The brilliant idea occurred when we were walking Long Street & were offered sub-standard quality of weed. It was really frustrating seeing the drugs on our street. I mean, what will the German tourists think of us, that's the kak we smoke? I thought why can’t one purchase Weed online with WeedCoin instead of begging from each other at every jol? At the same time, if purchases with quick transactions become available we can expect more business. The exchange servers for WSE are outside of South African waters so it makes the transaction legal. Weedcoin can handle 1243 transactions per second i.e., hundreds of consumers exchanging weed in a second instead of the consumer having to walk down long street with the fear of getting mugged. Unbelievable, this is the beginning of new times.”

The weed fraternity seemed to be extremely excited with the thought and are already coming up with new coins for Sativa, Indica & Ruderalis to be traded on the Weed Stock Exchange (WSE).
